HOW TO HAVE A STRESS-FREE, FUN BIRTHDAY PARTY

Does your child LOVE creating?  Fired Up is the perfect venue for parties.  You can choose either a
paint your own pottery party (prices variable), with over 50 child themed items to choose from, and
over 100 paint colors, a glass fusing party ($20 per child), or a silver clay birthday party ($21 per
child).    We now will have a birthday party instructor stay with your group during the whole party if we
are given 7 days notice, at no extra charge to you, because we are committed to making this one of
the best parties you have experienced.


NEW!  Due to popular demand, we now have birthday party packages.  They are:

$150 option:  A two hour birthday party for 8 people.  The party includes pottery or glass, firing, your
choice of colors, birthday party instructor for the whole party, cups, plates and napkins.  Each
additional child is $18.

Paint 8 bowls, mugs or small plates, your choice, or mix and match.

-OR, by popular demand, make  8 square (3.5" x 3.5") glass fused suncatchers (best for 9 years old
and older).   If you do glass with children younger than 9, it generally goes very fast, so a 1.5 hour
party is recommended.  Prices include suction cups (not shown in picture).

$220 option:  A two hour party.  The party includes all the items from the $150 party, a birthday T
shirt and four more children.  Paint up to 12 bowls, mugs or small plates, your choice, or mix and
match. Or, the group may make 12 glass fused suncatchers. The party includes pottery, firing, your
choice of colors, birthday party instructor for the whole party, cups, plates and napkins a  Fired Up
pottery T-shirt for the birthday child.  We will paint, or you can paint a  9 1/2 inch pottery birthday plate
signed by all the guests.  We will fire the plate, and you will receive it 7 to 9 days later.  Each
additional child is $18.

Pottery painting:  Appropriate for ages 4 and up.
If you don't wish to purchase a birthday party package, you can still continue to have parties at Fired
Up on a "per piece" basis.  Most children take a full hour to paint the larger pieces, such as boxes and
banks, and these pieces are $25 and up.  Ice cream bowls or sundae bowls or small plates are $18.  
We also have a variety of flat pieces and tiles that are $15.  As the price goes down, the pieces take
less time, so if you are considering the $15 flat tiles, allow 1.5 hours for the party, and not 2 hours.   
The glazes are non-toxic and do not stain, so they are totally safe.  The pieces stay in the studio to be
fired, and pick up is 7 to 9 days later.  Pieces will be wrapped and labeled for pick up by one person.

Glass fusing: ($20 per child)  Appropriate for ages 9 and up.
The children start off with a 3.5 inch square piece of glass which they then decorate using colored
glass pieces, pebbles or frit.  This is best thought of like decorating a sugar cookie.  We start out with
the cookie (glass), put frosting on it (glue), then decorate with other sprinkles (glass).  We will fire the
projects, and they will be ready in 7 days, wrapped and labeled.  We can also mail the glass to you for
$15, saving you a car trip for pickup.  Prices include hanger and suction cup.  If you have 8 or more
children, it is less expensive to purchase the $150 party option above.

Precious Metal Clay (Silver clay $21 per child),   Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
Especially fun with teenagers.  In this Birthday party, we make either a silver pendant , or two small
charms and fire them during the birthday party so they are ready to go home that day.  If we are
making the small charms, one of them is given by each child to the birthday child, who can wear them
together in a necklace or bracelet.  We make the jewelry, and while it is being fired, you have cake/
ice cream or do present opening.  This party takes between 2 and 2.5 hours, and the pieces go home
at the end of the party.

General information:
There is a minimum of $100 total for the party if cake and ice cream are served, or if presents are to
be opened during the party.  There is a $50 non-refundable deposit made to hold space, and it is
applied to your bill on the day of the party.  We provide staff to help with the party, and we do not
charge a room rental fee, just the price of your pieces.   Otherwise, if you just come in to make some
art,  there is no minimum charge, but you will not have a dedicated helper.

Party times are now scheduled anytime, however, Sundays are the quietest day for the party.   Usually
an hour is enough to paint or make a glass fused piece.  (less than that for children 8 and under), and
a half hour for treats, and a half hour for presents.  We are experienced in keeping everyone
entertained for the whole two hours (hour and a half for ages 3 to 5).  Weekday and daytime parties
are a great option.

What to bring:
You can arrange to bring in food, drinks, cake, ice cream and candles, camera, and maybe a
CD of your child's favorite music.  There is a refrigerator, freezer and microwave.  We will provide
the plates, cups, napkins and silverware.  We have an ice cream scoop, knife and lighter, so you just
need candles, camera, drinks and food.  For parties that include lunch, a great suggestion is Papa
Jimmies pizza. We have a menu and can order from the store for pickup.  You can also bring in a
crock pot  of hot dogs, or use the microwave.  Add chips and you have a great inexpensive lunch.  For
ice cream, some parents have brought in prepackaged ice cream cups.  It is fast and easy.

We have had some families say "this is so easy- I feel like I haven't done anything".  Hey, that's the
idea.  We will take care of your party for you.  Its easiest to have the whole party here, entertainment,
food and presents.  Pick up and drop off is a breeze.  We are in a drive up shopping center just for
that reason.

Treat bags
The children create their own art.  Treat bags are not necessary, saving you money and a lot of
shopping.  A few parents have provided a treat, most do not.   As a Mom of 3 kids, I appreciate not
having to buy or dispose of treat bags items.  Enough said :)

Pick up of pieces
Pottery and glass pieces are ready 7 to 9 days later and sometimes sooner, depending upon kiln
firing schedules. Silver pieces go home with you the same day.  You pick up the whole group, and we
have them wrapped and labeled individually.  

Pottery to Go:  We can pack pottery, paint and brushes "to go", so you can paint at home with your
group.  Bring the pieces to Fired Up for firing.  Perfect for a late night slumber party activity, or if it is
too far to carpool.  There is no extra charge for this service.

To reserve space, call Fired Up at 839-5000.  There is no room rental fee.  A $50
non-refundable deposit is required to make a reservation.  Payment can be by check, Visa
or Mastercard.  Your deposit is applied to the party cost.
