| Field Trips for Children with Fired Up Pottery CREATIVE, FUN, AND MEMORABLE Let me introduce Fired Up Pottery. It is located in Cottage Grove on Cottage Grove Road (Highway BB) near the Piggly-Wiggly shopping center. My shop has three parts- a “paint your own pottery” studio, and a wet clay studio, where students make their own art, and we also offer glass fusing. FIELD TRIPS OFFERED- Paint your own pottery Paint Medallions and a wheel demonstration ($5 per child). Minimum number of children is 20, please. We have over twelve styles of medallions to chose from. These are flat disks (2.5 Inches) in diameter and can be used as decoration, knapsack pulls, magnets, overhead fan pulls, or a coaster. We often will open early for a school or daycare, and we can handle up to 50 kids at once. If we have over 25 kids, then half watch the wheel pottery demonstration while half paint, and we switch places. Allow 1 hour for your field trip. If you need the field trip to last longer, we can customize the amount of talking about clay to meet your schedule, or make a small pinch pot for an additional ($5 per child). We gladly customize each field trip to meet your needs. We can also come to your school or daycare for no additional charge if the order is at least $300. For orders under $300, the trip charge is $20 per trip. We can also mail the finished medallions to you. Bowls, plates and MUGS! Oh my! We also offer paint your own bowl, plate or mug for $15 (regular price is $18) if groups have 13 kids or more. These pieces will be fired, and are food safe. Delivery averages 1 week later. We can paint these at Fired Up, or at your business. As the number of students increases, the price decreases. For 1 to 12 students the price is $18 each, plus tax. For 13 to 19 students the price is $15 each plus tax. For 20 to 39 students the price is $14 each plus tax. For 40 to 99 students the price is $13 each for over 100 students the price is $12 each for over 200 students the price is $10 each. Are We Growing Yet? $12 We also offer paint your own 6" plant pot and saucer. The terra cotta pots are painted then fired for permanent decoration. These are easy and very fun! Many businesses like to combine with a unit on plants and plan on planting in the pots at a later time. This item is seasonally available. Delivery averages 1 week later. We can paint these at Fired Up, or at your business. No volume discount offered. Handprints from the Heart (6" tile) $12 Handprints you can live with! The children get to decorate a tile, then put a hand print on top of their art. We will help with labeling children's name and year. If parents want to purchase a wood or metal frame that is $14 extra and we will glue it. The frames can be hung as art, or used for a trivet. No volume discount offered. FIELD TRIPS OFFERED- Wet clay studio Clay hanging wall vase $15 (school aged children only, please) Our most popular project! This class requires 2 meetings, and we can do at your business or ours. We teach the children to make a hanging wall out of clay. We use stamps to decorate the clay, then use the slip and score method to join the pieces to form a wall vase. It then has to dry for 7 or so days, and get bisque fired. On the second meeting, the kids get to decorate their piece with glaze. It is then fired a second time, and is ready for pick up 7 days after the second meeting. For Day Cares, we deliver them for no charge, with a $300 order. For 1 to 19 students the price is $15 each plus tax. For 20 to 39 students the price is $14 each plus tax. For 40 to 99 students the price is $13 each plus tax. For over 100 students the price is $12 each plus tax. For over 200 students the price is $10 each plus tax. New! Garden stakes! Wahoo! $14 per child, tax included New! We make this simple project using cookie cutter and clay. We can do this project at your place or ours. We then fire the projects and return for them to be painted with glaze about 1 to 2 week later, and then we fire them again. We can deliver them and go to your place of business in Dane County for a $300 order. Fired Up pottery can also make the garden stakes ourselves and you can paint them for the same price, so that the kids who are in a one week camp can paint on a Monday or Tuesday and we can fire them and get the back to you on Thursday or Friday.
