| HOME SCHOOLERS AT FIRED UP POTTERY, COTTAGE GROVE, WI Hi! My name is Kim Stanfill-McMillan, and I am the owner of Fired Up Pottery in Cottage Grove. I have 30 years experience teaching pottery. I believe in and support home schooling and I want to work with home school groups to design individual clay art programs. Let me give you a brief introduction to Fired Up. It is located in Cottage Grove on Cottage Grove road in the Piggly-Wiggly shopping center. My shop has two parts- a “paint your own pottery” studio, and a wet clay studio, where students make their own art. WHAT CAN FIRED UP OFFER YOU? This brochure is a starting point for designing a clay program for home schoolers. First, the home school group needs to get together determine their needs. I can offer you some “ball park” costs at the beginning, so you can plan further, and then we can refine the costs once I know your needs in detail. What I’m saying here is that I’m open to any type of home school program that you might dream up, and we’ll price it out based upon the number of children, ages, and the amount of supervision needed. I can however, give you some preliminary prices to get you started, but I’d like to do this by phone, or better yet in person at the store. I am closed during the day on Monday for hosting special groups like yours in private. This may even be so much fun that parents participate along with their children. West Cottage Grove Road is Highway BB, and is marked as BB, not Cottage Grove Road. Depending upon your location in Madison, Mapquest gives "back road" directions, and some people have missed a critical turn. It is longer, but easier to take Cottage Grove Road, or Interstate 94 or Highways 12/18 to go east. Call 608-839-5000 if you need more information. |
| Note: Yahoo maps does not show correct location. The store is further east, between West Oak and Sandpiper, near the Piggly Wiggly. |
